Made from sustainably sourced coconut shell and activated using a steam activation process, this premium activated charcoal has a high adsorption capacity and an exceptionally fine texture. Therapeutic-grade (otherwise referred to as medicinal-grade) activated charcoal is produced to an even higher standard of purity and quality control than food grade. It is specifically intended for health applications and undergoes additional processing and testing to ensure it is free from unwanted contaminants, and provides maximum adsorption capacity. That being said, it is still suitable for cullinary aplications.
